The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification allowing affiliated schools to make corrections in the particulars of candidates submitted for the 2025 board examinations . The correction facility, which opened on April 9, will remain active until April 17, the board confirmed.
The move comes after several schools were found to have submitted incorrect candidate data despite repeated instructions issued by the board. In many cases, institutions later approached CBSE seeking amendments in student details, prompting the board to open a formal correction window.
According to the notification, a processing fee of ₹1,000 per candidate will be charged for each correction request. The amount is to be deposited by the schools with their respective regional CBSE offices. The facility is open only for regular candidates.

No change in category allowedCBSE has further stated that a change of category, such as from General to OBC, is not permitted as part of this correction process.
