Andrea Berta completes another Arsenal deal after talks as contract details in place

Leandro Trossard has agreed a new contract at Arsenal, it has been claimed. The 30-year-old, who has been linked with a summer exit from the Emirates Stadium, is expected to remain at the Gunners, after reaching an agreement on an adjustment to his existing deal.

Trossard's current contract expires in 2027 and, while his new terms will include a significant pay rise to reflect his value in the Arsenal squad, it won't be extended and will still end in two years' time. According to The Athletic, Trossard has been in talks with Arsenal for some time over an increased wage, with a view of bringing his salary in line with his role at the club.

After a process that has played out across the summer, Trossard and Arsenal have come to an agreement. Indeed, the Belgium international is now expected to stay in north London.

It's claimed that, at present, there has been no significant development regarding Trossard leaving the club during this transfer window. Fulham are among those that are interested in the forward.

Trossard joined Arsenal in a £27million deal from Brighton in January 2023. He has since then scored 28 goals and provided 23 assists in 124 games, establishing himself as a crucial member of the squad.

The ex-Genk man was an unused substitute in Arsenal's Premier League curtain-raiser against Manchester United on Sunday. Gabriel Martinelli started on their left-hand side - with Noni Madueke replacing him in the second half.

Trossard sustained a groin issue during his team's pre-season defeat against Tottenham in Hong Kong and has yet to return to competitive action.

He could return when Arsenal meet Leeds United, in their second top-flight outing of the campaign, on Saturday. The Gunners sit right next to Leeds in the Premier League table, after both won their opening matches.

Leeds were 1-0 winners against Everton on Monday night, while Mikel Arteta's side overcame United by the same score-line. Riccardo Calafiori was the match-winner for the Gunners in the first half.

Speaking after the game, Arteta spoke about the importance of his side's result at Old Trafford. "[It was a] big, big result coming in the first game of the season at Old Trafford," he said.

"When you feel that they are building something special, momentum, with new signings and they want to kick on the season in a good way and you are able to come away with the win, I'm very happy and proud of the team."
