Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Timo Werner has been missing for Tottenham due to a hamstring injury. The German returned to on a season-long loan deal last summer but the 2024/25 campaign has proved to be an extremely frustrating one for the attacker.
The 29-year-old has been restricted to 27 appearances in all competitions for the north London club this season, with the player only starting four times in the Premier League. did feature regularly in the Europa League league phase in the first half of the season but was then cut from the squad for the knockout rounds.
Since returning in February from a hamstring injury sustained in the FA Cup third round tie at Tamworth at the beginning of the year, . Werner did play eight minutes of the 1-0 defeat against Manchester City but since then has not been included in the last nine Premier League matchday squads.
