BBC EastEnders Nish Panesar's real plan 'rumbled' as viewers spot glaring plot hole

Send Push

Suki Panesar got the shock of her life as Nish Panesar changed his will to include Avani and Nugget as his only beneficiaries but viewers were left scratching their heads when he forgot an important EastEnders character.

The villain portrayed by Navin Chowdhry was rushed to hospital, this Wednesday, September 25, 2024, after being snatched seconds away from death by his granddaughter Avani Gulati (played by Aaliyah James) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace), who walked in on Suki's moment of triumph following Tuesday's explosive events, aired on BBC One.

While on his hospital bed, Nish stunned Suki (Balvinder Sopal) by announcing he'd like to make a last-minute change to his will and he declared Avani and her brother Nugget as his main beneficiaries - ruling out another one of his grandchildren, Tyrion.

Viewers of the London-based drama were quick to point out the blunder as they wondered if Nish could still be playing tricks on Suki. "Is that will legit though? That will could have been a different version and Nish sent his lawyer away with the real will…. Interesting Nish hasn’t left Tyrion (Jag’s son) anything", one of them wrote.

Another jumped in: "I like how they invented new grandkids for Nish but he still doesn’t care about Jags kid", while a third echoed: "nish seems to have forgotten about the other grandson he has from the 'boy he loved so much' jagvir."

One fan then lamented: "Lowkey expected nish to say he was gonna leave all his money to jags and he walks through the hospital door. But eastenders would never give us the satisfaction."

New photos of upcoming scenes have teased all hell is about to break loose in the ED as Suki can be seen lashing out against Nish after the discovery, which ultimately leaves her and her children without a dime or a claim over the family business.

In another scenario, this would then set Ravi up against Suki, as both parents battle it out while Nish savours his last moments, leading them onto another long-lasting feud.

Though the secrecy around his exit scenes has been kept intact, recent reports claimed that Navin Chowdhry's exit from the London-based programme is imminent as he was reported to have quit his role.

"It's not known if Nish will be killed off, even though his health is suffering, but expect the exit to be very impactful and dramatic", a source explained to The Sun. "Navin has made quite the impact on the show in the two years he has been a part of it… he'll be missed by cast, crew and viewers alike."

Diehard EastEnders fans will need no reminder - making his first appearance in Walford in October 2019, Jagvir "Jags" Singh Panesar was portrayed by actor Amar Adatia and first arrived in the Square with Kheerat when the pair decided to confront Ben Mitchell for stealing the latter's car.

During his time in Walford, Jags embarked on a romantic relationship with Habiba Ahmed, to which Suki was firmly opposed to. After keeping their relationship a secret, Jags spilled the beans and Suki tore them apart by framing him for a robbery at Ruby's (which was staged by his own brother Vinny).

Habiba was devastated to discover he had been sentenced to four years in prison and left Albert Square for Leeds in October, 2020. It was later revealed she was pregnant with Jags' baby. Kheerat and Vinny payed for her rent and, months later, Habiba gave birth to a boy.

Jags was stabbed to death in prison shortly after the baby's birth, while Habiba was hoping to discuss names with him. Habiba went on to call their son Tyrion, based on his father's favourite Game of Thrones character.
