Big Brother fans demand housemate is removed after 'uncomfortable' scene

Send Push

Big Brother 2024 is barely a week old and already causing major stir with its viewers who are calling for one contestant to be given the boot after some controversial antics last Friday.

The drama kicked off when Marcello, a youth mentor aged 34, told a whopper of a lie about an interaction with Ali, a 38-year- old forensic psychologist. He falsely claimed they had a close moment in private, but nothing could be further from the truthAli, who is in a lesbian relationship and has talked about coming out later in life, appeared noticeably distressed as Marcello kept up the false narrative.

It all started during yesterday's episode when Marcello and Ali stepped out to the smoking area, just ahead of the series first eviction night. Things took a turn after a shared vaping moment. Marcello joked: "We just vape-kissed," which prompted a laugh from Ali as she clarified: 'It's not a thing'.

Marcello quickly backed down with a 'I'm joking,' only to boast to other housemates: "We just kissed, innit." Ali was quick to shut it down with a firm 'No, we did not,' leading Marcello to play it off, laughing: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. We didn't kiss; I'm joking."

But the felt tension didn't end there. Ali, looking anything but amused, relayed the incident to Khaled, explaining: 'In the garden, he said that we kissed. "And I'm like... he knows I have a girlfriend. As long as he says, 'I know she has a girlfriend' it's okay. But Alis expression indicated otherwise.

In the early hours, Marcello joined Ali, Segun, and Thomas in the kitchen, only to be met with an awkward silence. One viewer, argued: "Ali is so clearly uncomfortable around Marcello, and I need this man GONE. He's a literal sex pest, and the producers can clearly see an issue with how he acts based on them showing us the crusty footage from the smoking area, to validate Ali doing nothing wrong."

Throughout the week, Marcello has been noted for his repeated sexualised comments towards other female housemates, including excessive compliments towards Rosie. Meanwhile, AJ, Will, and the panellists on the spin-off show Late & Live dismissed the incident, arguing 'that's just Marcello', while House Guest David Potts suggested it "wasn't that deep".
