Chelsea have decided against making Jadon Sancho's loan deal from Manchester United permanent this summer, with the player due to return to Old Trafford ahead of the new season.
As part of the loan deal between the two clubs there was an obligation for Chelsea to make the deal permanent at the end of the season for a fee of up to £25 million. football.london understands Chelsea have opted against using that obligation.
It is said that negotiations over personal terms between Chelsea and Sancho have failed to result in an agreement. Chelsea will therefore pay a £5 million penalty to United with the player heading back to Old Trafford at the end of his loan deal on June 30.
