appears to bite a leg while the tot is dressed like a chicken and being held by its mum who carried the kid to the President, in this bizarre photo.
The gaffe-strewn outgoing US President playfully pretended to nibble a baby's foot as he welcomed trick-or-treaters at a Halloween event on Wednesday and was also spotted giving a kiss on another child's forehead and appearing to bite the knee of another tot.
The mum seemed unfazed by the situation and revelled in talking to Biden, wile TMZ said the baby giggled - but the internet and social media has reacted exactly as you might imagine.
One user wrote: "President Trump is mingling with garbage men at his rally in Wisconsin. Meanwhile, is literally BITING BABIES at the White House Halloween Party. WTF IS THIS TIMELINE?" Another said: "I can't stop laughing at this clip of Biden greeting a baby dressed as a chicken at the WH Halloween event while the most OMINOUS music plays."
While a third hysterical person tweeted: "Someone call 911 immediately. JOE BIDEN JUST BIT A SECOND BABY AT THE WHITE HOUSE. This is NOT a joke. He stuck this second child’s foot in his mouth three times!"
Biden also pulled surprised faces as other children paraded their Halloween costumes. This comes as White House officials are scrambling to cover for President Joe Biden after he allegedly labelled Donald Trump's supporters as "garbage" in a heated speech on Tuesday.
The blunder occurred when Biden, 81, addressed a Latino advocacy group days after the comment was made. "Just the other day, a speaker at [Trump's] rally called Puerto Rico a ' floating island of garbage,'" the president told the group referring to a poorly-received joke by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past weekend.

"The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American," the president continued. "It's totally contrary to everything we've done, everything we've been."
In the following hours, White House officials have since been working to smooth over the comment that has upset many people, reports .
The White House has been in scramble mode to dial back President Biden's assault on Trump enthusiasts, insisting that an apostrophe at the end of "supporter's" in Biden's barb means he was targeting Hinchcliffe specifically, not the broader swathe of Trump supporters. Despite the clarification, the remark rapidly stirred havoc among the MAGA crowd.
Even Trump slammed Biden's words as "worse" than Hillary Clinton's infamous 'deplorable' label. Biden's riposte came quickly with a revised public address: "Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage - which is the only word I can think of to describe it," the President recanted.
"His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation," Biden continued, in a polished release that left both critics and supporters baffled or irritated. Meanwhile, seizing the moment during a Pennsylvania rally, Trump let loose another tirade on Biden.
