The Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand has changed the rules of the state's ration card scheme. Now the green ration card holders in Jharkhand will get ration not once but twice a month. Before Diwali, the government has given a big gift to the ration card holders. Under this, these ration card holders will get a ration of December 2023 from 1st to 15th in the month of October. So from the 16th to the 31st, a ration of October 2024 will be available.

Similarly, from the 1st to the 15th of November, the ration of January 2024 and from 16th to 30th November 2024 will be available. So from 1st to 15th in December, ration of February 2024 and from 16th to 31st December 2024 will be available. In the year 2020, the Jharkhand government started the Green Card Scheme under the State Food Security Scheme. Through which rice is given to the beneficiaries every month at the rate of one rupee per kilogram.

Names of 5 lakh more people will be added

In the cabinet meeting of Jharkhand government, approval was given to increase the number of beneficiaries of green ration card holders in the state food security scheme. Now 5 lakh new names will be added to the list of green ration card holders in the state. After this, this list will increase from 20 lakh to 25 lakh. At present, the number of beneficiaries of green ration card holders is close to 17 lakh.
