Zoho Mail, Zoho Corporation's flagship email service, is now approaching annual revenues of approximately $100 million. The company's founder, Sridhar Vembu, revealed that he is personally looking for new talent. He posted on X that with Zoho Mail's growth, he is now looking for people with strong mathematical skills to join the company's technical research and development (R&D) team.
Vembu wrote, "If you're not afraid of equations, ping me!" Zoho Mail recently achieved a score of 99.329 in the VBSpam certification, with a malware catch rate of 97.47%, a phishing catch rate of 99.87%, and a false positive rate of 0%. These results make Zoho Mail one of the world's top secure email providers. Vembu further added, "Zoho Mail is close to $100 million in revenue, with over 70% of its business coming from outside India. We are constantly improving our anti-spam system. Our goal is to keep our global customers happy and bring glory to our country."
Zoho Mail's growth is largely driven by its privacy-first, ad-free model. It doesn't monetize user data, making it a popular choice among privacy-conscious users and businesses. The company is continuously investing in research and development and rolling out new features like improved spam filtering, image annotation, alias delegation, and integration with Zoho Workplace. These features have also led to Zoho Mail's adoption by enterprise and government users.
Even senior government officials, such as Home Minister Amit Shah, are now switching to Zoho Mail. The government is also supporting this shift to promote its Made in India service. Although Zoho has its roots in India, its customer base and revenue growth are now largely global. Over 70% of its revenue comes from international markets. This means Zoho is gaining trust not just in India but across the world.
