Mastercard launches CSK co-branded credit cards

Fans of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) can get their hands on the official number 7 jersey of Mahendra Singh Dhoni by going for the City Union Bank CSK Masterworld Platinum Credit Card. This credit card is available on the Mastercard network, and this means the Mastercard One Dines Free, Mastercard One Night Free program and Mastercard Culinary Club program are all available on it.

The Mastercard One Dines Free program offerscardholders a complimentary main course when they dine at top restaurants in major cities across the Asia Pacific region. The Mastercard Culinary Club program offers up to 30% discount at some of the best restaurants in India. Moreover, this credit card is also eligible for Mastercard One Night Free program wherein the cardholder can get a complimentary one-night stay at the partnered hotel and resorts in the Asia Pacific region.

Last but not the least, this credit card also has complimentary domestic airport and international airport lounge access.

What is the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Masterworld and Master credit card?
According to a press release by Mastercard on April 16, 2025, it is being claimed that the CSK Masterworld and CSK Master credit cards are passion cards for cricket fans notably Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.

Mastercard said that this card is especially designed for cricket enthusiasts, but it also offers some lifestyle (restaurant dining, hotel stay) and travel benefits (airport lounge access) also.

Mastercard has also mentioned that their collaboration with City Union Bank is limited to co-branded credit cards for two IPL teams –Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

In the press release, Mastercard said cardholders can get cricket experiences like access to the specified IPL team through meet-and-greet opportunities and practice sessions. You can also avail exclusive team merchandise.

• CUB CSK Mastercard Platinum credit card: According to City Union Bank (CUB) website, Master cardholders can get “An official CSK fan Jersey as a welcome gift, but this is subject to a specified spend threshold.” CUB also mentions that these cardholders will also get CSK branded gifts and merchandise discounts, and this benefit is not restricted to any spending-based criteria.
• CUB CSK World Mastercard credit card: According to CUB website, Masterworld credit cardholders can own an original Dhoni No.7 Jersey as a welcome gift, without any spend based criteria. Moreover, the exclusive CSK gifts and merchandise discounts available to Master credit cardholders are also available for Masterworld users.

It may be noted that there is a RuPay variant of the CSK co-branded credit card issued by CUB.
