In light of the unfolding regional situation, the Indian Embassy in Qatar on Monday issued an advisory urging members of the Indian community in the country to exercise caution and remain indoors.
The advisory comes hours after at least six Iranian missiles were launched towards the US airbase Al Udeid in Qatar.
Earlier, Qatar had announced a temporary closure of its airspace, citing safety concerns amid threats of Iranian retaliation against the United States and the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel.
"In view of the ongoing situation, Indian community in Qatar is urged to be cautious and remain indoors. Please remain calm and follow local news, instructions and guidance provided by Qatari authorities," the Embassy said in a statement.
