Over 2 million followers at just age 10: Vivacious Varenya reveals how she built her social media fame

Varenya Borbora, a 10-year-old from Jorhat, Assam, is winning hearts on the internet with her fluent English, self-assured personality, and creative content. Known widely by her online moniker Vivacious Varenya, she recently appeared on The Ranveer Show, where her maturity and charm left host Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, completely taken aback.

During the interview, Allahbadia expressed genuine surprise at both her confidence and massive online following. When she revealed that her Instagram had nearly two million followers, the podcaster couldn’t hide his astonishment. Varenya's follower count has since crossed 2 million.

Confidence Rooted in Encouragement

When asked about the source of her impressive confidence, the young content creator shared that it stemmed from continuous appreciation from those around her. She recalled that her journey began when her sister encouraged her to sing “Everything I Am” in school. The positive response from classmates sparked a sense of self-belief that only grew stronger over time.

She spoke about how the joy and encouragement from friends, relatives, and even strangers made her feel valued, which in turn fueled her confidence. As she explained on the show, this appreciation played a big role in shaping her ability to express herself without hesitation.

Passion for English and Content Creation

Varenya’s command of the English language stands out for someone her age. According to her, this skill was developed naturally by watching English movies and cartoons and reading books. Remarkably, she began picking up English vocabulary and sentence structure even before she fully grasped Assamese, her native language.

Her love for English eventually turned into a core part of her online identity. Many of her videos aim to teach or promote the language in a fun, relatable way.

She went viral for the first time with a short video where she gently tapped a meditation bowl and asked, “Are you feeling a little anxious today?” The calm tone and mature delivery caught the attention of thousands.

Family Behind the Scenes

Behind Varenya’s growing social media presence is strong family support. Her mother, Masumi Sharma Borbora, manages her Instagram account, while her father, Pranjal Borbora, handles her YouTube channel, which features vlogs and educational content. Her elder sister also helps with video editing.

Varenya started her content journey by spontaneously recording home videos. She shared that in the beginning, she would grab her mother’s phone and film playful house tours. These early clips laid the foundation for her channel, which now has over 16,500 subscribers.

In addition to her engaging videos and articulate speech, Varenya is also a budding singer. She regularly posts covers of English songs on her YouTube channel, showcasing her interest in music alongside her communication skills.

At an age when most children are preoccupied with schoolwork and cartoons, Varenya is building a digital identity with remarkable grace.
