Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed Chief Secretary Anurag Jain to hold talks with the public representatives about shifting the collectorate to the Professor’s Colony. Yadav told Jain to hold talks with all public representatives. The government should take a decision after talking to all parties.
Now, Jain can hold talks with all politicians of Bhopal. Legislator Rameshwar Sharma raised the issue at a meeting on the development of Bhopal on Monday.
At the meeting, Sharma said the collectorate should be in the same place where it is now. He said Bhopal is sitting on powder keg. Everyone knows the condition of the old city.
The collectorate is working under heavy pressure because it is in the old city. If there is a lack of space, the government may demolish the bungalows in front of the collectorate to increase space.
Minister Vishvas Sarang and his cabinet colleagues supported Sharma. The work to bring the collectorate to Professor’s Colony has started under the re-densification project. MP Alok Sharma is also opposed to the project. He demanded its cancellation after holding meetings with all people.
