Bhopal (Madhya  Pradesh): Now the treasure of our old Ayurvedic herbs will be available in AIIMS Bhopal.

AIIMS Bhopal and Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Research Foundation are going to build the biggest herbal garden of the state together. It will not be limited to just planting trees, but it will also help in finding new and cheap methods of treatment.

AIIMS Director Dr. Ajay Singh said that this herbal garden will not be an ordinary garden. It will plant special medicinal plants found not only in Madhya Pradesh, but also in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and the whole country, which you may have never seen before. AIIMS believes that these plants have the power to cure many diseases, which we are forgetting about

We will find the 'rich tribal medicine' of Madhya Pradesh

According to Dr. Singh, there are many such areas in the state where a large number of tribal communities live. These communities have been close to forests and nature for centuries.

These communities have very old and deep knowledge of treating diseases with trees, plants, roots, leaves and barks. This knowledge is passed on orally from generation to generation.

It is called 'rich' because this knowledge includes many such herbs and their methods of use about which modern science is still not fully aware.

Teams of AIIMS and Patanjali Research Foundation will meet such tribal Vaidyas, Hakims or elders who know this traditional knowledge. With their help, plants will be identified.

Scientific research will be done in AIIMS on the herbs that will be discovered. This will reveal how effective they are, what chemical elements are present in them.

If these traditional medicines prove to be scientifically effective, then new, cheap and effective medicines can be made from them. This will enable common people to get better treatment at a lower cost.
