Team India hit back with flurry of wickets after rain-enforced interruption
Meanwhile, the tourists ended the first session wicketless as England finished with 117/0, bringing down the required runs to 254. When the rain break occurred, the home side were 181-0.
However, Prasidh Krishna made inroads after the players returned, dismissing Zak Crawley for 65 and Ollie Pope for 8, helping them storm back into the contest. Shardul Thakur, who had a belated introduction to the attack, got back-to-back wickets, dismissing Ben Duckett for 149 and Harry Brook for a first-ball duck.
England had already chased down a 370+ total against India before and will take confidence from that.
