An unidentified assailant opened fire late night at the Black Panther Hookah Bar in Delhi's Preet Vihar area, creating panic among patrons and staff.
In video footage that has since gone viral, three security guards can be seen stationed outside the establishment when an armed individual approached and fired three to four shots. The security personnel immediately fled the scene.
This is not the first such incident in the Preet Vihar area, where similar shootings at clubs and bars have been reported previously. Despite these security concerns, many establishments continue to operate well into the early morning hours, violating operational regulations.
In a separate incident in the same area, Preet Vihar police conducted a raid on a café and arrested a person for illegally serving alcohol. According to reports, the cafe operator, identified as Laikuddin, was serving alcohol without proper licensing.
Police seized 11 bottles of illegal liquor and 53 cans of beer during the raid. Officials reported they received information about illegal alcohol service on Thursday night, which prompted action. A police team raided Mist Café, located on the third floor of Park End Colony, around 12:10 AM and arrested the café manager Laikuddin under the Delhi Excise Act. All alcohol on the premises was confiscated.
