Home Minister Amit Shah today, hit back at former Home Minister P Chidambaram in the Lok Sabha over his remarks questioning the Pakistani-origin of the terrorists involved in the recent Pahalgam attack. Shah said that by suggesting the attackers could be “homegrown”, Chidambaram has given a "clean chit" to both the terrorists and Pakistan.
Identities of terrorists Confirmed
HM Shah confirmed that all three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack, as Suleman, Afghan, and Jibran were killed in Operation Mahadev. He said that “the people who used to supply food to them were detained earlier,” and that once the terrorists’ bodies were brought to Srinagar, they were “identified by those who were kept detained by our agencies.”
Responding during the Monsoon Session, Shah cited crucial evidence recovered during Operation Mahadev, in which three terrorists were neutralised. "Our agencies have recovered rifles, Pakistani chocolates, and two Pakistani voter ID cards from the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. This confirms their identity as Pakistanis," Shah said.
OperationMahadev
