Rajasthan Royals batter Dhruv Jurel faced criticism for the team's loss to Delhi Capitals in a Super Over. With three runs needed from two balls, Jurel denied a second run to his partner Shimron Hetmyer. This decision contributed to the match ending in a tie and eventually being decided by a Super Over.
Mitchell Starc bowled the last over for Delhi and executed his deliveries well, mixing pace and lengths to keep the batters in check. On the fifth ball, Hetmyer hit the ball through covers and called for a second run. However, Jurel chose not to risk it, turning down Hetmyer’s call.

Replays suggested the second run might have been possible as Tristan Stubbs, who fielded the ball, took some time to get the throw in. Hetmyer was visibly frustrated, and the decision became a talking point after Jurel failed to score the required two runs on the final delivery.

He denied the double on the 2nd last ball, ulimately Rajasthan Royals couldn't finish the match and the difference was that one run. #IPL2025 #BCCI #DhruvJurel #MitchellStarc #DCvsRR #DCvRR pic.twitter.com/JKUrEsUgL9
