Actor Anant Joshi is all set to play the role of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the upcoming film Ajey: The Untold Story Of A Yogi. Directed by Ravindra Gautam, the film is a biographical drama inspired by the biography of Yogi Adityanath - The Monk Who Became Chief Minister, authored by Shantanu Gupta.
Set against the backdrop of UP's volatile political landscape, the teaser of the film was unveiled by the makers on social media on Wednesday (July 2) and Anant is receiving praises for his performance as the CM.
Who is Anant Joshi?
At just the age of 35, Anant has carved a niche in the entertainment industry, spanning web series, television, and films. Born in Agra, UP, he first gained public attention playing the titular character in Alt Balaji's Virgin Bhasskar (2019–2020), where his portrayal of an earnest young author caught attention.

Anant goes bald for his role in Ajey
To portray Yogi Adityanath authentically, the actor went bald and he recently stated that it was not an easy decision.
"I’ve been emotionally attached to my hair all my life. Losing it wasn’t just a cosmetic change - it was letting go of a part of myself. But this role demanded that sacrifice. I knew I couldn’t fake it. I had to live it. I had to become Yogi, not just act like him."
