SaaS-based sales playbook automation startup Sharpsell.ai has raised INR 30 Cr (around $3.4 Mn) in a Series A funding round from Equentis Angel Fund, along with existing investors Cornerstone Venture Partners and Mistry Ventures.
The startup plans to deploy the fresh proceeds to boost its product capabilities, deepen penetration across existing verticals and expand into Southeast Asia and the MENA region.
Founded in 2022 by Hanuman Kamma and Arun Subramanian, Sharpsell.ai is a SaaS-based sales playbook automation platform that helps enterprises digitise and scale sales practices.
The startup claims that its platform is used by sales representatives, including BFSI, auto, pharma and consumer electronics companies. Its clients include LIC, Axis Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI Life, Bajaj General Insurance, Mahindra, and Whirlpool.
“This investment will help sharpen our product roadmap, strengthen delivery, and accelerate international expansion,” said Kamma.
Equentis Angel Fund, affiliated with Equentis Wealth Advisory Services, said the investment reflects the scale of the opportunity.
“Global spend on sales enablement tools is crossing $12 Bn, but the sales playbook automation segment remains largely untapped in India. Sharpsell’s AI-led platform is driving revenue and productivity gains with strong SaaS fundamentals and profitability, which positions it to scale rapidly,” said Equentis Wealth Advisory Services’ founder & MD Manish Goel.
Sharpsell.ai’s latest round follows its previous funding in 2022 and 2023 from Cornerstone Venture Partners and Mistry Ventures, among others.
This comes at a time when the sales enablement software market is experiencing rapid growth in India and globally.
As per a report, the global sales enablement platform market size is projected to reach between $6.01 Bn and $6.38 Bn in 2025 and is forecasted to grow to $12.78 Bn to $29.18 Bn by 2030–2035, growing at a CAGR of 16-19%.
Meanwhile, Inc42’s India SaaS Startup Ecosystem report shows that SaaS opportunity in the country is estimated to surpass the $70 Bn mark by 2030.
This demand is driven by enterprises seeking to digitise and scale sales practices, harnessing AI and automation to optimise seller efficiency and align marketing operations.
Sharpsell.ai competes against the likes of Mindtickle, SalesHood, Salesforce Sales Cloud, among others, in the SaaS sales management segment.
