Your body will get a lot of benefits by consuming it. So let us also tell you how to make Amla candy in an easy method.
Ingredients for making candy
- Amla – 500 grams
- Sugar – 300 grams
- Water – 1 cup
- Salt – ½ teaspoon
- Black salt – 1 teaspoon
- Ajwain (dry ginger) – ½ teaspoon
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
- Turmeric – ½ teaspoon
- Sugar syrup
Method:
To make Amla candy, first wash the Amla thoroughly, remove the seeds and cut it. After this, boil water in a vessel and add Amla to it. Now boil it for 5-10 minutes. Then remove the Amla and cool it. Now boil 1 cup water and sugar in a pan.
When the sugar dissolves completely and the syrup is ready, then add asafoetida, celery, black pepper, turmeric, and salt to it. Boil this syrup for 5-7 minutes so that the syrup becomes thick. When the temperature of the syrup cools down a bit, add lemon juice to it.
Add the boiled amla to the syrup and mix well. Let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes so that the amla can absorb the syrup and get full of flavor. Now take out the amla candy and place it on a plate or tray to dry well. Leave it in the sun to dry for 1-2 days.
When the amla is completely dry, then your sweet and sour amla candy is ready. You can keep it in an airtight container and consume it later.
