There was a shock revelation in Emmerdaleon Friday, when ITV viewers learnt that Mack was alive after all. Now, the soap has released a first look image of the character - and it's not looking good. Actor Lawrence Robb has also spoken out - as he says Mack "isn't quite dead (yet)"...
During Friday's episode, fans saw John Sugden moving some leaves - where we first believed Mack was buried. However, in a shock twist, there was actually a door under the leaves. John then walked down to the 'secret room' and Mack was seen lying on the floor, wincing in pain.
Fans were left in shock - and overjoyed - that Mack was alive once again, although many believed he wouldn't survive much longer. Now, we see there's more to the tale.

In the picture released by the soap today, Mack can be seen looking worse for wear, handcuffed with dirt on his face, while hooked to what looks like an IV drip.
It comes alongside thefirst look trailer that the soap released, which revealed the moment Mack wakes up, and slowly begins to remember what happened to him. Crying in pain, he looks around and sees the IV drip attached to him and also realises he's chained up.
As he sees John approach, he sees flashbacks of the attack and realises he's in danger. Screaming out for help, John tells him he's safe in the clip - although it's clear Mack remembers everything. "You tried to kill me, just like you killed Nate," he can be heard blurting out.
Now, actor Lawrence Robb has spoken out after many believed his character Mack had died. “I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite dead (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his death," he said.
"Whilst I have enjoyed being somewhat of an enigma over that time, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the drama we shot is received on screen."
Concluding, he said: "Both Ollie and I really enjoyed shooting it, so hopefully the jeopardy of Mack’s position will keep the audience gripped!”
Lawrence isn't giving away what happens next, but many believe the end is still near for the character. Now, by saying he's not dead 'yet' could he be dropping a hint that he's on the way out? Some think so...
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, when the episode aired on Friday, one fan penned: : "What if Mack is alive today but will die later on screen?" with another responding: "Give it time."
A third comment read: "that was the first thing that came to my mind when i saw mack alive," while another user agreed: "There's still hope that Mackenzie will still be dead after all this."
But will Mack stay alive? And will John be exposed if he does?
