An estimated 56,000 people will start Sunday's TCS London Marathon and the majority who make it from Greenwich to the finish line on The Mall will receive a medal that they will cherish for years to come.
But the memento is also a key to plenty of free food, drink and more across the capital in the 24 hours after the race.
A number of pubs and restaurants are offering pints, burgers and discounts for those who make it through the 26.2 mile adventure, while one shop is even offering a free bath bomb to soak tired legs.
Here is your guide to what a finisher's medal can earn on Sunday and into Monday.
