Manchester United are keen on star Alphonso Davies, but have reportedly already accepted that they are unlikely to succeed in a transfer race against .
Davies is out of contract with Bayern in June and has attracted lots of interest in recent months. The Canada international has long been linked with a move to Real, who have made it clear they would like to land the 23-year-old left-back on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Real baulked at the quoted fee of €40million (£34m) to sign him over the summer and decided instead to hold fire until June 2025, when he could be a free agent. Davies has been at Bayern since 2018 and has made 203 appearances for the club, helping them win five Bundesliga titles and one Champions League trophy among others. "It's a very important contract in Alphonso's career and we're supposed to make the decision without knowing who the coach will be next season or what the team looks like. That's why we think it's unfair to react to the ultimatum."
have suggested that United are also keeping an eye on Bayern winger Leroy Sane and midfielder Leon Goretzka. Sane is also out of contract with Bayern next summer and has fallen down the pecking order this season under Vincent Kompany’s management, while Goretzka has featured just once in six Bundesliga matches this term.
