Still hospital-bound, Jesy supported her partner by watching the race on TV. Taking to Stories, the Mine singer shared a snap of the TV screen she was looking up at from her hospital bed.
She wrote alongside the image: "I feel so emotional this morning knowing my baby is running the marathon for our babies and for @twinstrust. @zionfoster my heart feels so proud of you, you got this my angel."
Ahead of the event, Zion revealed he was running in support of the Twins Trust. In a statement shared via a fundraising page, the rapper wrote: "My partner, Jesy, and I are expecting identical twins and we found out in early pregnancy that they have this condition. It is rare, and life threatening, and means that because they share a placenta, one twin will ultimately take more of the blood supply and nutrients from the other which comes with huge risks.
"It has made pregnancy a very scary and worrying time for us, and it is awful to think that there is the risk of both our babies dying. We knew nothing about TTTS before Jesy fell pregnant, so after learning more about this heartbreaking condition, and how many babies have died as a result, we wanted to use our platform in a positive way to raise awareness and help families like ours."
Zion continued: "That’s why the Twins Trust is our chosen charity and I want to raise as much money for them as I possibly can. Not only do they raise awareness of conditions like TTTS, but they also work closely with the to audit maternity units in and their brilliant work has already saved the lives of many babies in the UK."
He added: "They support multiples’ families around the clock and raise funds for more research into multiple pregnancies and complications that may arise" - and went on to request donations for the charity.
Zion and Jesy have been keeping fans updated on the progress of their pregnancy - including the procedures the former star underwent to save their babies. Following surgery, the couple took to Instagram to share information.
Jesy said: "Hi guys, so we just wanted to give you an update because we know it's been a while. First of all we want to say a Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing and strong mums out there. And secondly, we are still in hospital, so I've been recovering.
"But, we have some amazing news. The TTTS has cleared up, the operation was a success which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so, lucky to have the most amazing doctors. Basically, the situation that we're in now is my cervix is very, very, short, so I can't leave the hospital because my waters could break at any point and I'm still very, very, early."
Jesy went on: "So yeah, I can't leave the hospital until I'm a certain amount of weeks. Every week we're praying that the babies stay in my belly but yeah, we are just so grateful that they are still here and they're still growing strong and we're just so grateful."
Her other half Zion then added: "We're in such a blessed, blessed, situation to even be able to make this video and share this good news." It was at this point, at the end of March, that Zion announced he planned to take part in the marathon.
