A woman was hospitalised after she was stung by a scorpionthat climbed up her leg as she tried on clothes in a fitting room.
Architecture student Alicia Spies had been in a Zara fitting room in Guará, a county in the state ofSão Paulo, Brazil, when the scorpion climbed up her leg at about 12pm on Wednesday. Alicia said she had been in the fitting room when she realised something crawled up her leg.
She then felt a sharp pain and dizziness. After finding the scorpion, Alicia called the fire department for the ParkShopping shopping centre she was in.

Her mother assisted her until the fire brigade arrived, g1.globo reported. Alicia was taken by ambulance to the Asa Norte Regional Hospital, where she was monitored as she recovered.
ParkShopping said in a statement: "ParkShopping regrets what happened on the premises of one of its stores, and informs that the customer was promptly attended to by the store's brigade and taken by ambulance to the hospital.
"The mall maintains strict pest control protocols and reiterates that the safety and well-being of customers and employees are our priorities."
"Zara deeply regrets what happened and confirms that it is in direct contact with the customer, providing all necessary assistance," a spokesperson for Zara said. "We take this case very seriously and are working to ensure that all appropriate preventative measures are taken."
Zara added it regretted what happened and said it was in direct contact with the customer.
The incident happened after a mum was left fighting for her life after she fell down hospital stairs and hit her head. The mum-of-two woke up with a "really bad case" of mosquito bites and went to hospital and was prescribed injections.
Despite feeling unwell for a few days following the bites, the mum "soldiered through" the holiday for the sake of her beloved children. As they walked down the hotel staircase on their way to a pharmacy on June 23, mum June complained of feeling dizzy and collapsed, falling head-first onto a concrete step.
