Vikram Rathour has been appointed as the new batting coach for Rajasthan Royals (RR), bolstering their coaching team.

This announcement follows the recent appointment of Rahul Dravid as the team's head coach.

The duo, who previously worked together in the Indian cricket setup, are set to reunite in their efforts to shape RR's future.

RR are yet to win the Indian Premier League since lifting the inaugural title in 2008.

The coaching duo's objective with RR mirrors their previous role with the Indian cricket team.

Since their only IPL victory in 2008, the Royals have struggled to secure another title despite coming close in 2022 under Sanju Samson's leadership.

Rathour echoed Dravid's sentiments about their shared goals for RR, expressing his eagerness to contribute to the team's vision of developing top-class players.

Earlier this month, Dravid was officially confirmed as the head coach of Royals.

Dravid recently saw out his term as the head coach of the Indian cricket team and finished his tenure by winning the ICC T20 World Cup in West Indies and the USA.

Dravid is no stranger to the RR camp, having represented the team as a player from 2011 to 2013. He also served as a mentor for the franchise in 2014.
