This is the first Amarnath after the Pahalgam terrorist attack and Operation Sindoor. Amidst heavy security arrangements, 5,469 pilgrims were sent in the first batch from Yatri Niwas, while 423 saints were sent from Parade. The batches reached Baltal and Pahalgam late in the evening. Devotees have left for the holy cave.
10-10 thousand pilgrims will be sent to the holy cave daily from both the traditional routes. Devotees also registered their presence with great enthusiasm and excitement at Pantha Chowk of Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, and Srinagar. The Lt Governor said that the enthusiasm of the devotees shows that this yatra is unaffected by terrorist incidents and will once again prove to be historic.
This yatra of faith and self-discovery is unaffected by terrorist incidents: Lt Governor.
The Lt Governor said that this holy pilgrimage is a journey of faith and self-discovery. He wished all the devotees a comfortable journey and a deep spiritual experience. He said that the administration, the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and security forces have made extensive arrangements for the pilgrims. Jammu city has come alive with a new energy. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the pilgrims. Unaffected by terrorist incidents, devotees of Bhole Baba are coming in large numbers and demonstrating their immense faith. I hope that this year's yatra will be even more historic than previous years.
