Barkha Singh, who has made a special identity with her acting in Bollywood and OTT, has recently made such a revelation in an interview which has created a stir in the industry. She said that even though she never had to face the casting couch directly, she received an email that shook her from within. Actress Barkha Singh, who has proved her acting prowess in films like 'Lafarge' and 'The Sabarmati Report', said that a person associated with the South Industry had asked her to 'compromise' in exchange for the role through email. According to Barkha, this proposal was written so clearly as if it was a common practice in the industry.
It was written in the email that 'compromise is necessary'
Barkha said in an interview with 'Hotfly', 'It was written in the email that there will be so many shooting days, figure measurements should be like this and compromise is necessary. When someone writes and sends such things without hesitation, then understand that he has no shame about all these things.'
Barkha also said that she always tries to stay away from such situations and that is why she does not let herself get caught in such situations. She said, 'I know that all this happens in the industry, so I am already alert. I try never to be in such a place or among people where such proposals can come.'
Barkha is constantly moving forward in her professional career.
Barkha Singh is going through the best phase of her career these days. In the recently released web series 'Criminal Justice 4', she shared the screen with Pankaj Tripathi and garnered praise from the audience. In her recent film 'Lafange', she played a character named 'Ishita', which is a light-hearted romantic-comedy film. Apart from this, Barkha's guest appearance in 'The Sabarmati Report' was also highly appreciated by the critics. For her innocence and natural acting, Barkha holds a special place among today's young actresses.
Exposed the dark truth of the industry
This statement of Barkha Singh can once again fuel the debate on the casting couch and the treatment of women in the industry. Although she never let any such thing overwhelm her, her experience is proof that many bitter truths are hidden behind the glamour of the film industry.
