Chennai. A father and daughter were carrying a suitcase at the railway station. Everyone was surprised to see that father and daughter at the station. Then a person called the police and told them about both of them and said that he felt something was wrong.
Then the RPF team reached the railway station and stopped the father and daughter and questioned them. So both said that there was nothing in their suitcase.
It is being told that a 43-year-old man and his daughter (17) had brought a woman's dead body in a suitcase to Minjur railway station in Chennai. Both of them had planned to leave the suitcase at the railway station and abscond, but seeing blood flowing from the bag, a passenger called the police and informed them. Police said that this man from Nellore had killed his neighbor on Sunday night, so that he could pay off his debt and take her gold jewelry.
Where did the accused come from?
Police said that after murdering the woman living in the neighbourhood, the father-daughter duo stuffed the dead body in a suitcase and brought it to Chennai. Both of them boarded the Chennai-bound MEMU train at 4 am and got off at Minjur station at around 8.30 am. They dragged the trolley bag for about 100 meters and left it on the platform. As they were going back to catch the train, RPF jawan Mahesh, who was on duty, patted their back and asked them what was in the suitcase? Both of them told RPF that there was nothing in it.
Who is the accused?
The police identified the man as goldsmith Balasubramaniam. The RPF jawan asked him to open the suitcase and people around were shocked to see the body of a woman with blood marks on her head. Police said that Balasubramaniam confessed to killing the woman, who has been identified as Mannam Ramani (65), who was murdered because of her jewellery. Police sent the body to the hospital for post-mortem.
