A disturbing case has emerged from Piprahi police station in Shivhar district, Bihar, where a father with two wives allegedly raped his 17-year-old daughter from his first wife and held her captive for six days. The victim filed a complaint at the women's police station after managing to contact emergency services, leading to her rescue by police.
The accused father reportedly threw out his first wife due to family disputes and married his sister-in-law, with whom he had three sons and a daughter. After the first wife remarried and moved abroad, the daughter lived with her maternal grandmother until the father brought her back four months ago.
Recently, following a domestic conflict, the stepmother left with the children, leaving the father and daughter alone at home. During this time, the father allegedly kept her hostage, restricting her movement. The police have registered a case based on the girl’s statement and medical examination. The accused father is currently absconding while police conduct raids to apprehend him.
Local authorities are taking this incident seriously. SDPO Sushil Kumar confirmed the ongoing investigation and assured that the victim is receiving protection and support. The public has expressed outrage and heightened concern regarding the safety of children after this case.
This case underscores serious social challenges and highlights the urgent need for vigilance and strict action to protect vulnerable individuals from such horrific abuse.
