A shocking incident has come to light from Dausa district in Rajasthan, where the body of a 17-year-old boy was found floating in a dam. Police were immediately alerted, and divers recovered the body. Following the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family.
According to reports, the teenager had been missing for the past few days. Before leaving home, he wrote a suicide note in which he mentioned being distressed after his sister eloped and married against the wishes of their family. The note also named two individuals he held responsible for his death. Police have begun an investigation into the matter.
Sister’s Love Marriage Sparked Family Dispute
Police revealed that two months ago, the teenager’s sister ran away with a young man despite her family’s objections. Her father filed a case at the Sainthal police station. When the girl was eventually found, it was discovered that she had already married the man.
Body Found in a Pond
According to the family, the boy left home on Monday after leaving a suicide note. When he didn’t return, a missing person report was filed. On Wednesday, goat herders spotted a body floating in a pond near an anicut and informed the police. The body was recovered and sent to Dausa District Hospital for post-mortem.
Family Demanded Arrests Before Post-Mortem
Initially, the family refused to allow the post-mortem until the accused were arrested. Police officials later convinced them to proceed. The suicide note reportedly named the girl’s husband and father-in-law, holding them responsible for the tragedy.
