Nita Ambani: In her address, Nita Ambani said, four days ago we lost a great son of India. We are all deeply saddened by his departure. He was one of the dearest friends of my father-in-law and husband Mukesh Ambani.

Nita Ambani Tribute to Ratan Tata: Nita Ambani paid emotional tribute to Ratan Tata at Reliance Industries' Annual Diwali Dinner. In her tribute, she described the late Ratan Tata as 'great son of India'. Recalling old memories, she said that he was not only a family friend but also a mentor to her son Akash Ambani. Ratan Tata died on 9 October in a Mumbai hospital.

'Tata was a dear friend of my father-in-law and family'

In her address, Nita Ambani said, 'Four days ago we lost a great son of India. We are all deeply saddened by his demise. He was a dear friend of my father-in-law (Dhirubhai Ambani), Mukesh Ambani and our family. He was also Akash's (Ambani) mentor.' She described Ratan Tata as a 'visionary industrialist and philanthropist' who always strived for the welfare of society.'

The grief of Tata's departure was felt once again

. After Nita Ambani's speech, a minute's silence was observed. During this, Ambani family, Reliance leadership and thousands of employees participated. After the footage of Nita Ambani paying tribute to Ratan Tata came out, the grief of his departure was felt once again among the people. People mourned Tata's death. People described Tata as a person 'loved by all'.

'This is a very sad day for India'

Earlier, Mukesh Ambani issued his statement condoling the death of his friend Ratan Tata. The Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries said in his statement, 'This is a very sad day for India. The death of Ratan Tata is a big loss not only for the Tata Group but for every Indian.' He said, I am personally very upset by his loss because I have lost a dear friend.

Ratan Tata was born on 28 December 1937. He served as the chairman of Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012. Later he took over as chairman emeritus. After his death, Noel Naval Tata was appointed as the new chairman.
