Ashok Gehlot Criticizes BJP and RSS for Silence on Union Minister's Remarks Against Rahul Gandhi

Jaipur: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sharply criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for failing to condemn the controversial remarks made by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. Gehlot emphasized that while the Gandhi family has contributed significantly to the nation, Bittu's comments—made after his transition from Congress to BJP—are highly condemnable.

Bittu had previously stated that if an award were to be given for catching the "number one terrorist," it should go to Rahul Gandhi. He claimed, "Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian, he has spent most of his time outside. He does not love his country much because he goes abroad and speaks negatively. The enemies of the country, including separatists and bomb-makers, support what he says. Rahul Gandhi is the country's number one terrorist." In response to these remarks, an FIR has been registered against Union Minister Bittu for his statements regarding Gandhi's comments made during a recent trip to the US concerning Sikhs. The complaint was filed at the High Grounds police station in Bengaluru by a Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee officer-bearer.

Gehlot also addressed the committee established in Rajasthan to discuss the new districts formed by the Congress government, suggesting that the geographical conditions of Rajasthan necessitate the creation of additional districts, similar to the approach taken in Haryana, where a new district is established every 40 kilometers. He urged that more new districts should be formed in Rajasthan to better serve the state's needs.
