Oops! Biden Forgets to Introduce Modi: What Happened on Stage?

Send Push

US President Joe Biden had another moment of confusion while sharing the stage with Quad leaders in Delaware on Sunday morning.

During the event, Biden, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japan's Fumio Kishida, launched the Cancer Moonshot initiative aimed at reducing the impact of cancer in the Indo-Pacific region.

After concluding his remarks on the initiative, Biden was expected to introduce PM Modi for his address. However, the US President appeared confused and uncertain about what to do next. The event moderator then stepped in and announced Prime Minister Modi’s name, after which he took the stage.

In recent years, Biden has experienced similar public incidents, raising concerns about his mental sharpness. The 81-year-old President has occasionally frozen or stumbled over his words during speeches, leading to questions about his fitness for office.

In July, Biden mistakenly referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian President Vladimir Putin during a NATO summit in Washington, causing further confusion.

We really don’t have a president. Biden completely FORGOT he was at a press conference with the Prime Minister of India. The entire world is laughing at us. This guy is COOKED. pic.twitter.com/useM07uh0R

Biden’s performance during the first presidential debate with Donald Trump earlier this year also drew attention when he stumbled over his words on several occasions. The debate intensified concerns about his ability to run for re-election, ultimately leading him to withdraw from the race.
