CNN anchor and Chief White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins was snubbed by President Trump as he spoke to journalists in the White House on July 8. During a Cabinet meeting, Collins questioned the President about the pause on defensive weapons being shipped out to Ukraine. Trump also expressed his frustration with Vladimir Putin, saying: "We get a lot of bulls*** thrown at us by Putin. The President shared grievance after grievance for 104 minutes, with topics such as Gaza, Ukraine, and tariffs coming up as Trump answered questions.
When Collins asked the President who had ordered a pause in weapons shipments to Ukraine, he replied: "I don't know. Why don't you tell me?" And didn't elaborate.
During one moment, which CNN announced as breaking news over the green new scam, CNN reporter Collins tried to ask Trump a question, but he was having none of it and said, "Not for CNN, not for CNN."
The green new scam refers to Trump's statement in September 2024 which read: "My plan will terminate the Green New Deal, which I call the Green New Scam. It's probably the greatest scam in history."
Trump said he wanted to "terminate" spending on what he called the Green New Deal, and he signed an Executive Order eliminating sources like wind and solar to promote the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Elsewhere in the Cabinet meeting, Trump became visibly irritated when Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked a question about Jeffrey Epstein, who hanged himself in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
"Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?" The President replied. "I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein at a time like this, where we're having some of the greatest success, and also tragedy, with what happened in Texas. It just seems like a desecration."
