Emmerdale fans 'work out' Dingle's Wishing Well cottage's new owner

Send Push

fans have 'uncovered' the new owner of the Wishing Well cottage - and it's not Tina Dingle.

The iconic abode has been a central part of the family since 1967, housing numerous members of the Dingle clan over the years. At present, Sam Dingle (James Hooton) is the head of the household, sharing the home with his wife Lydia (Karen Blick), cousin Mandy (Lisa Riley) and her son Vinny (Bradley Johnson). However, a significant soap plot twist could be on the horizon.

Recently in the Dales, Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) tragically passed away off-screen. In reality, Steve died in December last year at the age of 77.

This week saw Zak's funeral take place, delivering the expected drama. During the service, the Dingles were shocked when an unexpected woman arrived, clearly a family member.

The truth was revealed when Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) identified the woman as Tina Dingle (Samantha Power). Tina first graced Emmerdale in 1994 but departed two years later in 1996, reports .

Originally played by Jacqueline Pirie, the role is now portrayed by actress Samantha Power. Zak's funeral quickly became explosive for the Dingles as Tina began hurling insults at the family, overshadowing Zak's farewell.

She also brazenly attempted to stake her claim on the Wishing Well cottage after being caught with photos of the house on her phone.

In a startling twist on Emmerdale, Lydia Dingle, played by Karen Blick, corrected misconceptions armed with Zak's final wishes that Tina was shockingly in breach of her probation and had been wearing a tag all along. A dramatic scene unfolded as Tina faced the music with the police, leaving with a chilling promise that the Dingles hadn't seen the last of her.

Meanwhile, speculations amongst fans are rife that the iconic Wishing Well cottage might soon slip from the Dingle family's grasp, suggesting that Ruby Milligan, portrayed by Beth Cordingly, could be the unexpected new proprietor due to her sizable inheritance.

"Will Ruby's inheritance from her mother give her the opportunity to buy the Dingle's cottage and land when they have no money to pay the taxman", one fan pondered online. Another echoed this sentiment: "Yup I can see Caleb and Ruby trying to get it."

A third chimed in with, "Yes maybe Ruby will buy it."

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
