'Most addictive crime drama TV series' people 'can't stop binge-watching'

It can be incredibly frustrating when you've spent hours trying to figure out what to watch next on TV. Whether it be endlessly scrolling Netflix, or trying to find the latest, most gripping crime-drama on ITV or BBC, it can be hard to know what to dedicate your time to.

But according to one TV fan, there's one show in particular you should add to your watch list, because they have been so "addicted" to it they can't stop binge-watching it. Taking to TikTok, Luke Eccleston of @eccyreviews has urged people to watch this series, if it's the only "limited series" they end up watching.

In a recent clip, he said: "If you only watch one limited series this year, it has to be this one. It's not only the most gripping limited series I've ever watched, but it genuinely might be the best. The show I'm talking about is the Mare of Easttown."

The Mare of Easttown is an American crime drama starring Oscar-winner Kate Winslet as police detective Mare Sheehan. She revives an unsolved missing person's case in a small Pennsylvania town. The HBO series has a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score, and scored a whopping 8.4/10 on IMDB.

Luke continued: "This is a seven-part limited series on Sky/NOW in the UK, or HBO Max in America. It follows Kate Winslet's character, who is a detective in a small town, where a young girl is found murdered in a river.

"Honestly, this show had me hooked. I genuinely couldn't stop myself from binge-watching it. I stayed up until 2am, watching the entire thing. Trust me, I absolutely loved it.

"The cast is stacked, from Kate Winslet to Evan Peters, and so many more. Honestly, you'll never forget about this show."

He admitted that as the show came out in 2021 he "might be a bit late" to it, but still recomended everyone watch it. "It is a must-watch," he added.

And it turns out he wasn't the only one to rave about the TV show. "Mare of Easttown is a must-watch!", said one person. "Mare of Easttown is the best limited series," agreed another. "Mare of Easttown is unbelieveable. God tier show," said another.

Others raved about Kate Winslet's performance. "Kate Winslet has become an absolutely powerhouse of an actress...Watched this when it came out and I loved it," commented one fan.

"Yess! Mare of Eastown was so awesome! Evan Peters, Kate Winslet-incredible and there's an AMAZING supporting cast!" added another.
