'Real reason' Meghan Markle is returning to acting exposed by expert

Meghan Markle has officially made a return to her acting roots by announcing her role in a new movie, which is being filmed in Pasadena, California. The 44-year-old has been pictured on set of the film Close Personal Friends looking "very relaxed and happy", according to a well-placed source.

As she stars alongside Emily in Paris' Lily Collins, and Brie Larson in a romcom for the streaming era, the move signals a "return to doing what she truly loves", according to another close source. However, others claim that after a list of ventures, including jam-making, podcast production, and reality TV, there were other motives to the Hollywood return.

One insider told The Sun it was a positive move for Ms Markle, stating: "She has been swamped with offers, but this one felt right. Prince Harry is, of course, really supportive and quite simply wants Meghan to do whatever brings her joy."

However, other sources claimed it was a financial decision, as Meghan has repeatedly said she would never return to acting.

In an interview with Variety magazine in 2022, Meghan said: "I'm done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not."

This week, a source close to the couple's operation told the Daily Mail: "It seems clear that she is desperate for attention, to be relevant, and for money."

The costs of maintaining the couple's lifestyle - with a California house and private security - are said to be up to $4 million a year.

However they added that in her heart of hearts, Meghan "always wanted a return to acting," which was the reason she brought Prince Harry to California.

After her Paris Fashion Week appearance, the same source claimed the Sussexes "seem to be spiralling" and are "throwing spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks".

Amid claims about the couple's finances, Prince Harry made a personal donation of £1.1 million to BBC Children in Need, to support projects tackling youth violence in Nottingham.

The couple are also said to have made a substantial donation to relief efforts following Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.

The film will follow two couples-one of which is famous-as they meet on holiday. Meghan is thought to be playing herself in the role for the film, produced by Amazon MGM studios.
