BBC's Saturday Kitchen came to a halt minutes into the show, as presenter Matt Tebbutt announced exciting baby news.
The TV chef was back on the screen for another instalment of the popular culinary programme and was joined by guest Anita Rani as well as chefs Scott Hollsworth and Sophie Wyburd. Meanwhile, Helen McGinn shared her expertise on drinks and Jordan Bailey celebrated burgers.
But as the show got underway, Matt shared some delightful news with his guests and viewers at home.
He said: "Er Sophie, first of all, congratulations Sophie's pregnant!"
After revealing the joyous news, the studio burst into a round of applause as Matt pointed in her direction. Referring to her blossoming bump, he said: "You can just about see it!"
Sophie replied: "Just about!"
Matt then asked Sophie if she felt any "punches" from the baby so far, in which she replied: "First little punch yesterday, so I'll see if they'll send you a punch later."
Matt then replied: "Well, listen. Lovely to have you here!"
Sophie, 31, is a cook, recipe writer, and presenter based in South London.
Her diverse food career has included working as a restaurant chef, food stylist, and leading the food team at Mob. Today, she shares her approachable, comforting home-cooked dishes with a wide audience through social media and her newsletter.
The rising star recently shared her baby news on Instagram with a stunning picture of her bump.
She captioned her post by writing: "Sausage Pasta Wyburd-Kumar, growing steadily in my tummy and landing with us this autumn!!
"P.S. writing recipes for a living when for 3 months all you want to eat is spinach and ricotta tortellini is no joke, but the little person in there will be very much worth it I'm sure."
After seeing her post, one fan wrote: "Awwww, congratulations love!!" Another said: "Amazing news Sophie, congratulations."
While a third added: "Oh Sophie, that's such wonderful news! Congratulations to you both."
Saturday Kitchen airs Saturdays from 10am on BBC One.
