The pretty little UK village home to Britain's best rated pub

Harrington, in Northamptonshire, is a quintessentially English village - with thatched roof cottages and a small community feel, it's the perfect place for a trip to the pub.

The Tollemache Arms has been named Great British Pub of the Year after Flo Pearce and Joe Buckley took over the pub nine years ago, along with co-owner Mr Buckley.

A proud winner of the national pub award, the pub is known for its use of homegrown suppliers and its beautiful quaint look.

At the pub, a pint of Pravha is £5.10 and for a pint of Guiness its £6. For a meal, a buger costs £17.50, fish and chips costs £17.

It was previously bought by a local vicar who took the pub over to stop parishioners drinking.

Judges were particularly impressed by the annual music event they host in the beer garden.

One guest on Tripadvisor said: "I cannot rate this lovely place highly enough. Our experience was amazing from start to finish. The welcome we got was the best I have probably ever had in a small pub and the food was sublime."
