Ukraine LIVE: Zelensky storms off after revealing Putin has not turned up to peace talks

Volodymyr Zelensky stormed away from a press conference minutes after landing in Ankara this morning, likely deeply unhappy at Russia's decision to send what he called a "deputy" to ceasefire talks and describing it as a "dummy" delegation. The Ukrainian President flew in - but Russian President Vladimir Putin has stayed in Moscow, with the Kremlin confirming he has no plans to do so, with aide Vladimir Medinsky being despatched.

Footage showed a disgruntled looking Mr Zelensky disembarking from his plane after it landed at the country's capital, before delivering a statement in Ukrainian in which he said he did not see the Russian delegation as a "just solution". Meanwhile Donald Trump said he might still attend potential Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Istanbul on May 16 if progress is made toward a deal. The US President told journalists in Qatar that he believes there is a chance to end the war. When asked about Russian President Vladimir Putin's absence, Mr Trump said: "Why would he go if I'm not going?"
