Festive season in Bollywood is seldom complete without a few grand parties. Among the bevy of A-listers who throw a grand bash each year, Manish Malhotra is undoubtedly the king of glitzy affairs. Every year the ace couturier dresses up stars in some of his best looks, setting new trends for the upcoming festivities. However, this time our eyes are trained on none other than Alia Bhatt and her upcycled pink lehenga!Among other celebs, Alia Bhatt too walked the red carpet leading to Manish Malhotra's Diwali Bash. While the rest of the beehive was clad in sequin sarees and whatnot, Alia went with a more sustainable approach, picking a masterpiece from her pre-wedding festivities. The two-year-old lehenga she decided to bust out for the party was first seen in 2022 for Alia and Ranbir Kapoor's mehendi ceremony. The Manish Malhotra ensemble featured around 180 patches of various textiles, merging traditional block prints with intricate embroidery. The fabric incorporated luxurious Banarasi brocade and Kachha Resham knots, creating a truly unique piece with a bohemian flair, a hallmark of Alia Bhatt's personal style.

Of course, the blouse was an equally standout piece too, featuring a modern infinity cut, complete with gold and silver embroidery. While Alia opted for a more relaxed approach for her mehendi, her Diwali party look this year had her pulling her hair back into a bun.

Both the times she paired the lehenga with understated makeup, allowing the outfit’s intricate details to shine. However, while her mehendi look featured a statement polki mang tikka and a matching emerald necklace, this year the actress accessorized with only a pair of striking diamond earrings.
