Baba Siddique's Shooter Had Plans To Flee India On 'Fake' Passport? Big Revelation By Mumbai Police

Mumbai: The shooter of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddique were promised passport by the mastermind so they could escape abroad, the Mumbai Police revealed. One of the shooters, Gurnail Singh, had a fear of being convicted in the case and wanted to flee the country.The conspirators had promised to help him in leaving India by obtaining a passport based on fake documents for him, said the Police. The conspirators also paid the shooter, Gurnail Singh (23), ₹ 50,000.Three attackers fired shots at Baba Siddique outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra East on October 12. The 66-year-old was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Siddique was cremated with full state honours at Bada Qabrastan.Gurnail and another alleged shooter Dharmaraj Kashyap were arrested immediately after the attack, whereas their accomplice Shivkumar Gautam managed to flee and was nabbed later.

Gurnail Was Part Of 'Second Module' As per the probe, Shivkumar, Dharmaraj and Gurnail were from the "second module" of the shooters who were in contact with `conspirator' Shubham Lonkar and `mastermind' Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar. Shivkumar and Dharmaraj were allegedly paid ₹ 1.5 to 2 lakh to execute the killing.As per the Mumbai crime branch which is investigating the case, a "module" based in Thane, comprising Nitin Sapre and Ram Kanoujia, initially received the contract to kill Siddique but later backed out of disagreement over payment and also considering the NCP leader's clout. The accused had first demanded Rs 50 lakh for the job, but later backed out, the Police said, adding that they provided logistical and other support to those involved in shooting the former MLA dead. Baba Siddique's Son Slams Maha Vikas Aghadi Baba Siddique's son, Zeeshan Siddique, slammed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance after it named its candidate from Mumbai's East Vandre Seat for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Zeeshan Siddique had won the East Vandre seat in 2019 assembly elections.Hitting out at the MVA, Zeeshan Siddique said that the "old friends" have announced their candidate, asserting that "supporting was never in their nature." "I heard old friends have announced their candidates from Vandre East. Supporting was never in their nature," he said in a post on X. "Maintain relations with those who give respect, no point in surrounding yourself with a crowd, now the people will decide," he added.
