Chennai: A 43-year-old woman allegedly tried to kill her mother by strangulating her with a piece of rope lying on the ground in MGR Nagar, Chennai, on Friday. Since the incident took place in public, the woman was intervened by locals who took the elderly woman, the deceased mother, to a hospital in KK Nagar for treatment. The police reached the spot after reaching an information about the clash in the area, and arrested the daughter for attempting murdering her mother. According to the police, there was an ongoing dispute between the mother and daughter over a share in the property. Due to which, the duo had a constrained relationship, leading to frequent fights between them. On the day of the incident, Adhilakshmi, the mother and a resident of Choolaipallam, was standing outside her home as she was talking to her neighbour. It is when her daughter Triloka Sundar came. She asked about the missing cash from the store. The argument escalated as Triloka dragged the property issue, said a report by . She demanded from her mother to give Triloka to either give her a portion of the ancestral property or an equivalent amount of money. The situation got out of the control, and Triloka assaulted her mother. Following that, she found a rope lying on the road. She grabbed it, and tried to strangulate her mother with that. Meanwhile, bystanders jumped in the matter, and stopped Triloka from killing her mother. They took the elderly woman to the hospital, and informed police. A case has been registered against Triloka.
Crime in Chennai In another incident of crime, police have arrested three of six techies from Chennai who allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl in a hotel room. They sent the minor to Puducherry on November 2 after raping her in turns. The techies had spotted the girl on Serenity Beach, where she was abandoned by an auto-rickshaw driver who had already sexually assaulted her. The driver was arrested by the police, said another report by TOI.The girl belonged to Mumbai who had come to Puducherry to visit her relatives. On October 30, she left the kins’ house after having a quarrel with her mother. It is when she took the auto-rickshaw of the accused driver that followed a series of mishaps.You may also like
