Vice President and Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris has revealed in an interview that she has a Glock, a handgun. In the CBS special interview segment, "60 Minutes", Harris unveiled more details about her handgun about which she had mentioned earlier in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. While describing about her handgun to CBS news correspondent Bill Whitaker, Harris said, "I have a Glock and I've had it for quite some time." She further went on saying, "Look, Bill, my background is in law enforcement, so there you go." Soon after Harris revealed about her owning a handgun, she was accused of being hypocritical, as she had backed bans on firearms in the past. When asked about firing the weapon, the Vice President laughed and said, "Yes, of course I have, at a shooting range-yes, of course, I have."She had been seen in the past where she was against the possession of firearms and had fully supported the bans. This was especially during her time as a district attorney. As people expressed their curiosity about her license on social media, Mike Davis, a former Senate Judiciary Committee aide posted on X saying, "DC residents have to register their firearms. And DC issues gun-registration ID card for each firearm, with the make, model, and serial number. Post your card, Kamala."
What are the Rules for owning a Glock?According to the California state law, potential gun owners are bound to possess a Firearm Safety Certificate and a proper registration of all hand guns. Owners of the Glock handgun are not legally allowed to have more than 10 bullets in their guns especially in the capital city. You may also like
