Bengaluru: A man allegedly killed his wife for using phone instead of serving him food, said the police on Sunday. The incident took place in Ambligola village in Shikaripur taluk of Shivamogga in Karnataka’s Shimoga district. The police have taken the man into custody following a complaint by the father of the deceased.The accused husband was identified as Manu who asked his wife Gowramma to serve him food. Gowramma refused him, and kept using her mobile phone. The rejection irked the man who then assaulted his wife. The situation got out of hand within minutes, and the accused strangled his wife with a towel.Gowramma’s father reached the Shikaripur Rural Police, and took the accused husband into custody. A further investigation is going on in the matter, the police affirmed.
