Jaipur: Rajasthan police are questioning Aditya Jain, alias Tony, a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, to find the location of key and notorious criminals in the gang, including Rohit Godara, the mastermind in the Rajut Theth and Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi murder cases.

Speaking to TOI, an officer said Jain is being questioned to find Godara's whereabouts. A Red Corner notice has already been issued against Godara, who fled the country on a forged passport. Initially, it was speculated that he was in Canada, but the police have traced his last movements in Europe.

According to police officials, Jain was a crucial link in the Bishnoi-Godara extortion network. AGTF sources said he had insider knowledge of financial operations, including details of bank accounts allegedly used for extortion payments.

"We have been investigating the links to ascertain Godara's exact location for many years. We believe it is likely Jain may know the accused's whereabouts," the officer said.

The state police have already requested the ministry of external affairs (MEA) to cancel Godara's passport, which he obtained by forging his identity.

Agencies found Godara got a passport made in the name of "Pawan Kumar". "We suspect that he fled the country using a fake passport and continues to use it to evade arrest abroad. The passport has been forged," said an officer.

Godara is the key accused in gangster Theth's murder and firing for extortion at the Days Hotel in Jaipur. A close operative of the Bishnoi gang, Godara is a native of Bikaner and is responsible for running the gang's activities in the state.
