'Jaat' box office collection day 2: Sunny Deol's film sees a drop in earnings; Struggles to reach Rs 17 crore mark

Sunny Deol, the star who broke box office records with his stellar performance in ‘Gadar 2,’ is back on the big screen with a mass entertainer—Jaat. This film was highly anticipated, but it failed to meet expectations. It opened with numbers lower than the expected early estimate of the movie. According to the Scnilk report, with a slight drop, ‘Jaat’ was able to mint only Rs.16.50 crores in India after two days of its theatrical release.

‘Jaat’ box office update

The Sunny Deol starrer action drama’s opening day collection stood at ₹9.5 crore. On day 2, the film made around Rs 7 crore, which makes the total Rs. 16.5 crore. Now with the weekend ahead, it is expected that the movie will pick pace.

‘Jaat’ occupancy rate
‘Jaat’ had 11.19% Hindi Occupancy on Friday. The footfall in the morning was the lowest, but then afternoon and evening shows saw a rise and the sustained the same. The maximum occupancy rate was seen in the night shows.

Morning Shows: 5.44%
Afternoon Shows: 10.97%
Evening Shows: 10.89%
Night Shows: 17.46%


‘Jaat'
Headlined by Sunny Deol, the movie has Randeep Huda as the protagonist. It follows the story of a remote coastal village, where ruthless criminal Ranatunga rules by fear. A mysterious outsider confronts his men and reveals the suffering experienced by the villagers.

Hema Malini and Esha Deol on 'Jaat'Hema Malini expressed her joy over the release of 'Jaat.' During an event, she interacted with Instant Bollywood and said "I heard that it has opened with a very big bumper. Bohot hi achcha lag raha he ki logo ko bohot achcha lag raha hai. Dharam (Dharmendra) ji bohot khush hai. Mujhe bhi bohot khushi hai (I feel so happy that people are happy with the film. Dharam ji is also very happy). The film is so good, I believe!"

Esha Deol also shared some beautiful words on the release of Sunny Deol's latest mass entertainer.
