Varun Dhawan shares how becoming a parent changed him: I'd kill anyone who hurts my daughter

As ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ is receiving good reviews from the viewers, the actor Varun Dhawan recently opened up about how being a parent has changed him and created a sense of responsibility in him.


Talking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Varun Dhawan said that any mother when she becomes a parent creates a sense of Tigress aura on her which is different from a man who becomes a parent.

According to Varun Dhawan when a man becomes a parent he feels protection towards their daughter more than their sons. The action star further said, “If anyone causes even a little harm to her I’d kill them. I am dead serious when I say that. I’d kill them.”


The ‘Citadel’ actor also shared that he can now relate to his father David Dhawan more, his insecurities, hyper behavior, him calling his mom, etc.


He said, “Dad just wanted everyone to be together as a tribe, as a pack,” to which a younger Varun responded by saying that he is not a child to keep him near always.


For the unversed, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal tied the knot on January 24. 2021. The couple welcomed their daughter Lara on June 3, 2024.


Earlier during Father’s Day, Varun Dhawan shared a sneak peek of his adorable daughter on Instagram and penned a caption that read, “Happy Father's Day. My Father taught me that the best way to celebrate this day is going out there and working for your family so will be doing just that. Couldn't be happier to be a girl dad."


On the work front, Varun Dhawan and Samantha starrer ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ started streaming on November 7 and is getting good reviews.
